Scheduling Your Social Media Time

The only way that your company is going to find success with social media is by making sure that you spend enough time working on it. Your social networks are not going to spring into being fully formed and ready to go. You need to make sure that you have a good-looking page with all of your information. Whether you are working with Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn or any other social media site, you have to set up your page correctly.

Of course, setting up the page is the easy part. Keeping up with the fast-paced world of social media and keeping your pages up to date is not quite so simple. Here are some tips that you will be able to use to help you get on top of your social networks.

Set Up a Schedule

It’s true that it can take quite a bit of time to deal with all of the different social media sites. The more sites you add, the longer it is going to take. It’s a good idea to set up a schedule so you can post. Perhaps fifteen minutes to half an hour in the morning, and then a return trip to the networks to check your messages in the evening. It’s just important that you remain consistent and that you do not let your pages linger for too long without a fresh post.

Check Your Sites

Your social media sites are not static. Just because you are not there, it doesn’t mean that other people aren’t viewing your information, and it doesn’t meant that they are not commenting on your posts. Whenever you schedule your posting time for your sites, you should take a few minutes to look at the page to make sure that you aren’t missing any comments. This is the time to return comments and engage your fans and followers.

Make Posting and Interacting Easier

Many people who are reading your social media posts and commenting on them are doing so from tablets and smart phones. Since they are doing their reading and commenting from smart phones doesn’t it make sense for you to do at least some of your posting from a smart phone or tablet? When you use your mobile devices to connect with the social networks and to post or comment, you can do so from anywhere. The ability to post from just about any location means that you will not have to carve out quite as much time to work on your social media.
