With the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-503, you can listen to music from your compatible music player and make receive hands-free calls using your mobile phone. The music player can be the music player feature of your mobile phone or separate music device.
Not only with Nokia phones but you can use the headset with compatible devices that support Bluetooth wireless technology.
Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to connect compatible devices without cables. A bluetooth connection does not require that the headset and the other device be in line of sight, but the maximum distance between the devices is 10 meters (33 feet). The closer the devices are to each other, the better is the performance. In some point, connection is subject to interference from distance and obstructions or other electronic devices.
Left speaker is used as the battery compartment. While the main panel of headset (right speaker as shown above) contains the following parts:
- Multifunction key
- Volume down key
- Volume up key
- Indicator light
- Charger connector
- Rewind key
- Play/pause key
- Fast forward key
Repair the Damaged Headset
We've been using the headset for quite some time. The headset has an internal, non-removable, rechargeable battery. It is placed left side near the speaker. The design is light and compact. Somehow, it happened that my younger cousin over-pushed the charger connector that destroyed the charging pin inside. In order to troubleshoot, headset should be dismantle. We have to align it carefully, else, it has to be replace. Luckily, with some sort of collected information. We learnt that it is too simple to disassemble.
Remove screws 1 and 2.
Slightly pull-up the soft cover (ear pads). Be careful not to tear the upper part. To make it safe, start detaching around edges.
We also uploaded a complete video tutorial. Knowing that it may give you additional help and tips on how to troubleshoot the BH-503 Nokia Bluetooth headset.
