Ebola Virus Discovered in the Philippines is Now Infecting Monkeys ~ Kwentology


Health Secretary Janette Garin confirmed that primates in the country's confidentially examined facility has been infected by Ebola Reston Virus (ERV).

However, Garin said that public have no reason to panic because the ERV is different from the deadly Ebola virus that severely hit West Africa.
The ERV, she said, could be transferred, cause people sick but not that fatal.
Additionally, the contamination has been prevented and in fact, the blood samples from 25 staff members were negative from the virus.

Garin, however, denied to name the location of the facility.

Meanwhile, she said, they're already monitoring the genetic makeup of ERV discovered in the Philippines.
