The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Astronomers carefully observed the Saturn's concentric rings which they said it looks like a large stream of ripples. Prior to this discovery, many people believe that Saturn has three to four rings.

But Voyager revealed that these rings are made up of hundreds of tiny ringlets with nearly 10 miles (16 kilometers) wide each.

Voyager 1 and 2 successfully explored gaseous giant planets such as;
  • Jupiter
  • Saturn
  • Uranus
  • and Neptune
Space probes examined the rings and magnetic fields of these planets. In September 2013, the Voyager I is at estimated 18.7 billion kilometers away from the sun.

NASA Voyager Interstellar Mission objectives is to gather huge information about solar system and other planets.
