The death toll rises to 26 while hundreds remain missing as rain continuously causes flood affecting large parts of West Virginia in the U.S.
According to West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, they are still continuing their rescue operations for some of the residents were reportedly stranded in malls and other public areas. Also, reports from Greenbrier County Sheriff Jan Cahel, up to 100 houses were destroyed and numbers of bridges collapsed due to the surging floods.
The Homeland Security group deployed an extra 500 personnel to assist Greenbier for evacuating people trapped in the roof tops.
