Lightning Strike Kills Son of Davao Tourism Official ~ Kwentology


The nine-year-old boy, son of the Department of Tourism (DoT) official in Davao City and a 19-year-old family housemaid were both dead after being struck by the lightning.

The lightning strike also burned down a portion of their residence located in Barangay 33-D in the city of Davao.

The house of DoT Assistant Secretary Eden Josephine David was on fire at around 12:30 am yesterday, killing her son John Brent Larano David and a helper Kimberly A. Luayon.

According to the Davao City Police, the DoT official sustained burns on her arm, while the male family helper suffered a third degree burn.

The worth of damage is around P350,000, plus another family member, Imelda Motoc and their other housemaid Rowena Arisgado sustained mild burns.
