No More Contractualization in the Philippines by the End of Year 2017 ~ Kwentology


Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III is convinced that the government is likely to achieve the "zero endo" and "zero illegal employment" before the end of 2017.

So that's our mandate in the department and we have been trying our best to achieve the orders of our President and that is zero to "endo" and zero to illegal, illegitimate contractual arrangement.

At the press briefing held in Malacanang, Sec. Bello said that his agency is targeting to end the "endo" (end of contract) and contracting scheme next year in accordance to the President Rodrigo Duterte's mandate.

According to Bello, the plan to end the contractualization is possible since employers are voluntarily collaborating and now are focusing on the matters.

Right after negotiations between the Labor Department and employers, the estimated 25,000 workers are now regularized in their employment.
